Explore a World of Colour and Light

My Imaginary Heart is the tongue-firmly-in-cheek title for the outpouring of creative expression flowing from a small stained glass art studio in Naarm/Melbourne. Owned by multi-media artist with a many stringed bow: community facilitator, librarian, radio broadcaster, and musician, Fiona Caskie.

Set out on your own glass journey of colour and light with My Imaginary Heart! Join one of our stained glass workshops listed below.

About Us

The medium of glass allows My Imaginary Heart to draw parallels between the strength and vulnerability of the material and the nature of human experience.

Incorporating imagery based on the artist's long-term folklore project and exploration of often overwhelming sensory experiences, My Imaginary Heart expresses what cannot be put into words by drawing heavily upon folklore and fairytale stories.

My Imaginary Heart re-imagines their engagement with and disassociation from the natural world through simulacra, character-building, and worlds-within-worlds-within-worlds.

My Imaginary Heart seeks to contribute to the ongoing visibility and appreciation for stained glass through curated exhibitions and educational programs that inspire and inform.
